BCTM processes contractor payments through Stripe. Customers pay an invoice by card or bank transfer from a link, or by card on site with a reader. You choose on each invoice who pays the card fee, and the money is paid out to your bank account.

Who pays the card fee
On each invoice you choose: pass the fee to the customer, or absorb it. Passing it on is a surcharge, and surcharge rules differ by state, so BCTM applies a surcharge only where the rules permit and switches to absorb-fee mode where they do not. On a $500 card payment the total fee is $19.80.
Large invoices: use ACH
Because the Stripe portion of an ACH payment is capped, bank transfer is usually the cheaper way to collect a large invoice. Both options can be offered on the same invoice and the customer picks.
Getting the money
Payouts go to the bank account connected to your Stripe account. Instant payouts are available when your Stripe account is eligible, under Stripe's instant-payout rules and pricing; otherwise Stripe's standard payout schedule applies. Refunds are issued from BCTM and recorded in the payment ledger.
During setup, Stripe shows "Midnight Mission Systems" as the platform — that is BCTM's operating company, not a third party.
What BCTM does not do
- Offline mode is for drafting only; collecting a payment needs a connection.
- No QuickBooks or Xero sync today.
